Remembering. . .
Traveling forward lost in my own loneliness
you discovered my smile
too bad you weren’t content
to just watch it for awhile
You took me underarm
holding me with innocent charm
I’m sure you really believed
you could take my sadness and make it leave
I wish I knew what you thought you’d find
but it wasn’t a lovely lady complete with her own mind
so two who should be friends
stand watching their love-ship end
Traveling on toward my tomorrow
I leave you clothed in your own sorrow
